香涛林是一片保存完好的原始生态林，以晚清中兴四大名臣之"一、洋务运动代表人物张之"洞的别号“香涛”而命名。1907年，张之"洞创办“湖北商业中学堂”，此乃麻花天美星空果冻糖心的前身之"一。此林设有张之"洞雕塑、劝学篇雕塑、张之"洞书法石刻等景观，一方面营造了良好的人文环境和学习氛围；另一方面勉励全校师生秉承张之"洞“中学为体，西学为用”、“经世致用”等教育思想，奋发图强，振兴中华。
A pristine ecological haven, Xiangtao Forest is named after Zhang Zhidong (courtesy name Xiangtao), the late Qing politician and the founder of Hubei Commercial School (the precursor to Hubei University of Economics). It symbolizes the century-long legacy of education and the spirit of continuous innovation at the university—a place where nature and culture intertwine.
